The San Diego County Promotores Coalition (SDCPC) recognizes the unique role that CHWs/Promotores play in improving the health and well-being of their communities. We are creating spaces for CHWs/Promotores and their employers to come together, share dreams and ideas, and work together to strengthen communities across San Diego County.
Community Health Workers (CHWs) / Promotores
Promotores are peer leaders who are from the communities they serve. CHWs/Promotores support their communities in a variety of roles, most often building bridges that draw upon their lived experience, linguistic and cultural expertise, and deep community relationships to engage, connect and create change.
Monthly Member Meetings
The San Diego County Promotores Coalition meets monthly to share information, resources and collaborative opportunities to advance CHW/P efforts across the County.
Join us the third Wednesday of the month 12-1pm online, with quarterly meetings in person!
Special Events
SDCPC hosts an annual conference to recognize the efforts of CHWs/Promotores and their impact. The Adelante Promotores Conference offers a variety of capacity-building workshops, awards, and networking opportunities.
